Old containers will be picked up sometime in next seven days, Waste Management says

As of Friday, Waste Management no longer serves as the garbage hauler for Coeur d'Alene as the service transitioned to Coeur d'Alene Garbage.

Waste Management asks that all old containers be left out where they are visible and they will be removed sometime in the next seven days. The process to remove the old containers has started, but will take some time as there are about 14,000 customers throughout the Coeur d'Alene area.

Any residential customers who have not yet received a new garbage container from Coeur d'Alene Garbage should call the city at 769-2227. Commercial customers should call Coeur d'Alene Garbage at 457-1820.
