Freeway rollover crash injures driver

POST FALLS — A rollover crash injured a 26-year-old Chugiak, Alaska, man on eastbound Interstate 90 at Post Falls at 2:47 a.m. Friday.

According to Idaho State Police, Matthew C. Geurts was driving a 2005 Hyundai Elantra near milepost 7 when he failed to negotiate a right curve and entered the median.

He then traveled back across the eastbound lanes of travel and left the roadway, where the vehicle overturned and landed on its top.

Geurts was transported to Kootenai Health, where he was treated and released. He was wearing his seatbelt.

An investigation continues.
