Rathdrum man gets 20 years for child porn
A Rathdrum man was sentenced by a Kootenai County judge last Friday to 10 years fixed and 10 years indeterminate in prison for two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
Charges were filed against Kolby Kuenzel, 24, in February 2015 for three counts of sexual exploitation of a child. Kuenzel pleaded guilty to two of the charges in April and the third charge was dropped.
An investigation by the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, dating back to February of 2014, determined Kuenzel had downloaded child pornography on his computer.
Kuenzel reportedly used Peer-to-peer file sharing to download multiple files containing key words, such as young, teen and schoolgirls, in combination with sexually exploitive language. After a search warrant was served June 5, 2014, Kuenzel reportedly admitted to investigators that he downloaded the material.
