Several local boat sellers are headed west Saturday for the 62nd annual Spokane Boat Show.

The theme for this year’s show is "Only In A Boat.” It brings together more than 50 major boat dealers from around the nation. The show is held early in the year so visitors to the boat show can find early-bird deals on new boats and ask questions of the experts on hand.

Hagadone Marine Group will have four displays occupying a total of 24,000 square feet in the Spokane Fair and Expo Center, with many different models from Regal yachts to Coeur Custom Wood Boats, Harris pontoons, Axis tow boats and many more.

"Every model will be on display through the whole lineup on all brands," said Paul Nielsen, director of sales for Hagadone Marine. "You can also do custom orders and get a boat exactly the way you want."

Nielsen said Hagadone Marine will have five models never seen before. A brand-new Harris double-decker pontoon boat will make its debut at the show as will a Regal 2300 Surf boat with a Volvo Forward Drive.

"Instead of pushing the boat, it's pulling the boat, like front-wheel drive on a car," said Craig Brosenne, general manager for Hagadone Marine. "It's the most revolutionary thing ever introduced in the boat business."

The boat show offers 180,000 square feet of exhibit space, some filled by other Kootenai County boat dealers including Mark’s Marine and Tobler Marina, both located in Hayden.

Visitors to the boat show will also find exhibitors selling docks, boat accessories, wakeboard towers and skiing and fishing gear.

The show runs from Jan. 30 through Feb. 6. at the Spokane Fair and Expo Center located at 404 N. Havana St., Spokane Valley. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youths. Children 12 and younger get in free.
