Tyler Starr Bartlett, 22
Tyler Starr Bartlett, 22, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, was taken from us much too early on Jan. 16, 2016, as a result of injuries sustained in a weather-related car accident. Tyler was born March 1, 1993, in Hailey, Idaho, the son of Bruce and Debbie Bartlett and youngest brother of Ashlea and Scott Bartlett.
Tyler was a 2011 graduate of Wood River High School where he initially enjoyed playing football but found his home on the wrestling team. Tyler left the valley to attend North Idaho College. He fell in love with Coeur d’Alene and had lived there since the fall of 2011.
Tyler was an incredibly positive, energetic kid that found joy in every bit of life. As long as he was with friends or family, he was happy. He loved snowboarding, boating, camping, playing video games, watching anime ... It didn’t take much to put a smile on his face.
As Tyler grew up, it was obvious he would be the kindest, gentlest and most loving person our family would ever know. He was never angry, envious or boastful. He was happy to live and let live and saw only the positive. He loved to listen and only wanted to better the lives of others around him with his infectious smile and unwavering optimism.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Bruce and Debbie Bartlett; his sister, Ashlea; brother Scott and sister-in-law Alyssa. He also leaves his paternal grandmother, Peggy Bartlett; his maternal grandparents, Nancy and Norm Stoffer; and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tyler is also survived by his beautiful, longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Welker. Lizzie was also involved in this devastating accident and remains stable in the ICU. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating at https://www.gofundme.com/wfjxgjj4 to assist with her ongoing medical expenses.
A celebration of life for Tyler will be held at a later date.
