Mary Jean (Jeanne) Fees, 86

Mary Jean (Jeanne) Fees passed peacefully at home on Jan. 16, 2016, following a full and blessed life. She was 86 years old. Born to William Souza Martin and Mary Silveira Martin, she was raised in Manteca with her four siblings on the family ranch.

She married Robert Marion Fees and together they had and loved five children. After 30 wonderful years in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, she returned to California and resided in West Sacramento for more than seven years, enriched by new friendships and cared for by her family until her death.

She is survived by her sons, Everett with his wife Cathy and Bill with his wife Jennifer, and sons Connor and Gavyn; daughters Bernadette and Mary Fees Pacheco with her husband Fernando and daughter Mary Katherine; daughter-in-law Greta Fees with children Margaux and her husband Jacob Clark, Garrett with his wife Jillian and Gretchen; great-grandsons Evan and Vaughn Fees and Bobby Clark; brother Tony Martin with his wife Dorothy; sister Gloria Martin Simas; and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of more than 60 years, Robert; beloved son Robert Eugene and dearest granddaughter Rory Madisen.

Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church at 12th and S Streets in Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Elizabeth’s, Yolo Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Association.
