SEAHAWKS: Thanks for great ride
What a game! The NFC West “hometown” ...(Inland Northwest... Washington, Idaho, Montana), Seattle Seahawks. What a team, down by 31! Never give up on our boys! The turf, just laid down six days ago... everyone slipping and sliding... A team we have just barely beat and kept out of the big show the last several years in a row...again...what a game! Never give up...!
Thank you Seahawks for a most wonderful season. Had you broken another record with a come-from-behind 31 point deficit we would still be shouting your praises. As it is, instead of feeling humiliated and utterly defeated, I feel only a bit disappointed. What a show of determination, of gamesmanship, of everything I hope for and expect of highly paid professionals. Russell Wilson overcame horrible offensive line play in the first quarter to statistically pummel the winning quarterback.
“If only”...There was a non-call late in the third quarter, what I believe was a blatant PI, that should have given “us” a first and goal. “If only” our team went for 3 points at the end of the first half, instead of going for a 5-yard first down on 4th down with a 3-yard pass... maybe... they could have had four tries for a TD at the end, for an overtime.
Who the heck am I? Not a Monday morning QB — just a serious fan. What a game...!
“Our” Seattle Seahawks are a class act of professionals. I am and will remain a fan for life.
Thank you Coach Carroll and all the rest of the fine Seattle Seahawks for a very stimulating and entertaining season of “Professional Football.”
