Linda Green, 75

Linda Green, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly of heart failure on Jan. 14, 2016, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, at the age of 75.

Linda was born on Dec. 11, 1940, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Russell Bennett and Sylvia Smith. Her sister is Patricia Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son-in-law Doug Pinyerd. Her surviving children are Janet Pinyerd and Robert Pico, Michele Pace and her husband Michael, Brian Corrigan and his wife Cindy, and Kevin Corrigan. Her grandchildren are Alexis Corrazini, Samantha Pico, Toni Pace, Casey Pinyerd and Joe Pace.

In school Linda enjoyed the fun of being on the aquatic team. In college Linda majored in journalism, went on to write for various newspapers and also sold insurance and real estate in California.

In 1995 Linda moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and worked in advertising for the Coeur d’Alene Press. She then went into the real estate field working for various companies in the area. She also volunteered for CASA an organization that appoints advocates for abused or neglected children in order to provide these children with a safe environment. She enjoyed volunteering in her church making rosaries, helping in her community and attending outings in the housing community in which she lived. Linda also had a heart for animals and was a great mother, grandmother and friend. Her laughter would fill up the room wherever she was and it was clear she enjoyed those around her. She is loved and will be missed by her family, friends, cat and all that knew her.

Rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016. Funeral and Mass will be held the next day at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 21, 2016. After her funeral service, the burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 2834 N. Spokane St., Post Falls and then back to the church for food and refreshments. All are invited.
