PLUMMER — With less than a minute left, Lakeside was tacked with an intentional foul after it was within two points of the Panthers, which was the difference in a nonleague game.

“They made a couple free throws and got the next possession and scored,” Lakeside coach Butch Nomee said of Charter. “Our guys stuck with it from beginning to end,”

Bryar Sanchez finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds and three steals for the Knights (1-10). AJ Bighead had 12 points, seven rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

“With the boys now grasping the concept of the new offense and getting the idea of playing together, both offensively and defensively, they were great,” Nomee said. “Just a couple calls that didn’t go our way down the end.”
