PREP BOYS BASKETBALL: Vikings JV team beats Mullan

MULLAN — Kiah Morton scored 16 points and Halle Kane added 13 points for the Coeur d’Alene Vikings junior varsity in a 67-39 win against the Mullan Tigers at the Mullan Pavilion.

Charli Sadler had 19 points, 13 rebounds, nine steals, three assists and two blocked shots and Sina Schafer had eight points and 15 rebounds for Mullan, which hosts Kootenai on Thursday.

“I’m happy with the team’s overall performance,” Mullan coach Sherry Leitz said. “Coeur d’Alene JV is very quick which caused some trouble for us. Even though Sadler was hurt, she fought through the pain and did a good job.”
