| January 8, 2016 8:00 PM

BOYS BASKETBALL

MOSES LAKE, Wash. — Brody Lundblad finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and the Coeur d’Alene Vikings edged the Moses Lake Chiefs 81-77 in overtime of a nonleague game on Thursday night.

“It was just a heck of a game,” Coeur d’Alene coach Kurt Lundblad said. “Both teams played very well and it was back and forth the entire game. Our kids battled for 36 minutes and had to face some adversity, but everyone played and contributed.”

Joey Naccarato had 28 points and 11 rebounds for Coeur d’Alene (10-1), which travels to Post Falls on Tuesday.

“Joey was just sensational on the glass and was a warrior tonight,” Coach Lundblad said. “He fouled out in overtime, but it was next man up and everyone stepped up and did a heck of a job.”

Ryan Karsetter hit a 3-pointer with three seconds remaining to force overtime for Moses Lake. Cesar Sandoval added 22 points for the Chiefs.

BOISE — The Trojans tuned up for today’s Rollie Lane Invitational at the Idaho Center in Nampa with the victory over the Patriots.

“It was a good night for us,” Post Falls coach Pete Reardon said. “The kids seemed kind of sluggish getting off the bus, but I’m proud of how they stepped up and competed in a tough situation.”

Post Falls senior Alius De La Rosa beat James Fisher 3-1 in overtime at 145 pounds.

“Alius got a takedown with 13 seconds left in overtime,” Reardon said. “Fisher is a really tough kid and was second in the Reno tournament of champions on the same weekend as Tri-State. There’s a good chance they’ll see each other again this weekend.”
