Update on woman found dead in Lake Coeur d'Alene
The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office released new information Tuesday in the death of a woman found in Lake Coeur d'Alene in November.
The Kootenai County Coroner's report said the death of Kimberly Sue Vezina, 27, of Spokane, was due to “combined drug toxicity.”
Detectives on the case revealed Vezina most likely died in Washington state and was subsequently transported to Idaho and dumped in the lake to conceal the incident. The detectives are looking into a person or persons of interest, but released no further information as the case is ongoing.
The sheriff's dive team recovered Vezina's body near Fuller’s Bay Nov. 9 after KSCO was called to the south end of Lake Coeur d'Alene to investigate a body floating in the water.
More information will be released when the investigation is complete.
