HUNTING: Privilege is wasted

| January 6, 2016 8:00 PM

Regarding the story “Disabled veteran wants deer rule change,” Mr. Brummett is a nonresident. Due to the fairness of the Idaho Fish and Game Department, they allow him to purchase a Disabled Veteran Hunting License which includes a 3-day fishing license and a Disabled Veteran deer tag for $55.50. As a resident, the same licenses and tag cost you $54.00. Normally it would cost him $481.25 if he hadn’t taken advantage of this privilege.

He was warned last year about baiting deer for hunting. If he wants to bait deer then he should hunt back in his home state of Washington where it is legal.

All Idaho hunters have to obey the No Baiting Rule for Deer Hunting and Mr. Brummett should be expected to do the same.
