Willis "Will" Hill, 97

Willis "Will" J. Hill, 97, was born May 19, 1918, to Willis and Connie Hill in Santa Barbara, Calif., and passed away Dec. 23, 2015. He was raised and schooled in California.

He was married on New Year’s 1938 to Alene Evans. They had two daughters, Beverly and Bobbi.

He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Upon returning he became a truck driver for Certified Grocers, retiring in 1984 after 45 years.

He was always very active, playing senior softball, bowling and walking his dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Alene; grandson Mike Gross and granddaughter Jamie Kurry. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Beverly and Wayne Flick; daughter Bobbi Gross; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no services upon his request.
