Mill River Furniture opening

Hand-built, solid wood furniture is featured at Mill River Rustic Furniture. This new store opens Tuesday at 505 E. Sherman Ave.

The boutique-style setting offers rustic-style furniture built by skilled craftsmen in their Post Falls facility. The business also offers home decor items, lighting, custom bedding and mattresses, hand-carved wooden sculptures, wall art, candles and gift items.

Owners Sean and Kristi Bradshaw and Dan Garayalde have been wholesale manufacturers for local retailers for 20-plus years and decided to take their products directly to the consumers. They also will custom build pieces.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. Phone 665-9838.

Peak opening expanded facility

The second floor and the revamped first floor of Peak Health & Wellness Center opened this weekend in the Hayden facility at 180 W. Center Drive (just south of the library between Government Way and Highway 95).

The 60,000-square-foot place offers new pickle- ball and basketball courts, group exercise and hot yoga studios, more than 100 cardio and weight machines, spinning, an indoor-outdoor kids club and a sauna-steam room. It already had four indoor tennis courts, personal training, tanning, massage, a lounge, juice bar and pro shop.

Hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The open house for the grand opening is 1-5 p.m. Saturday with tours, classes and free barbecue.

Patriot Supplements opens in Winco

Nutritional supplements, weight-loss aids, multi-vitamin health systems, workout enhancers and knowledge of the products’ use are available at Patriot Supplements. The new business opened last week in the northwest corner of Winco Shopping Plaza at 2834 N. Ramsey Road.

The facility has stools at a protein bar with a TV and also offers related apparel and containers. Owner Dan Webb also has a Spokane store. Key people in Coeur d’Alene are Dietrich Blickenderfer, Sean Moore, John Fodge and Nick Waites.

Five-Star Bath Solutions downtown

Custom shower doors, walk-in tubs and showers, bathtub-to-shower conversions and tub replacements are offered at Five-Star Bath Solutions. Moving from the Monet Floors building, the business opens Tuesday at 311 E. Coeur d’Alene Ave. (the former Modern Glass location).

Owner Jerry Sparling has had his Blue Water business since 2013 and has 27 years experience in glass installation and bathroom renovation. He also has three installers and a salesperson.
