PREP BASKETBALL: Locals tabbed for state all-star games

Five local boys and five local girls have been selected to the Region roster for this year’s 13th annual Idaho high school all-star basketball games, scheduled for March 12 at North Idaho College’s Rolly Williams Court.

Emily Callahan of Coeur d’Alene, Cierra Dvorak and Whitney Meier of Lake City, AubreAnna Johnson of Post Falls and Madi Schoening of Sandpoint were named to the Region girls team.

Caleb Symons of Genesis Prep, Max McCullough and Zach Hillman of Post Falls, Davan Norris of Sandpoint and Drake Lounsbury of St. Maries were named to the Region boys team.

After the first 12 years of matchups pitting North Idaho all-stars vs. the rest of the state, the format was changed this year to all-stars from the Boise metro region vs. the rest of the state.
