Curtain goes up tonight on 'Jungle Book'

Christian Youth Theater-North Idaho’s production of “The Jungle Book” begins its run on the Kroc Center stage today at 7 p.m.

The production, featuring 83 local children, will run several times through March 6 at the Salvation Army Kroc Theater, 1765 W. Golf Course Road, Coeur d’Alene.

Described as an “original, fun-loving, musical,” “The Jungle Book,” is based on the great English classic novel with the same name.

“This is a show for all ages and a feast for the eyes with its lush jungle setting, beautiful costumes, and creative makeup,” said organizers in their announcement of the production.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. today, Feb. 27 March 4 and 5.

Several 3 p.m. performances are also scheduled on Feb. 27, 28, March 5 and 6.

Ticket prices are $11-$13 in advance, and $13-$15 at the door.

The Saturday, Feb. 27 performance is a family disount matinee and all tickets will cost $9.

School field trip tickets are available for $5 for students and adults, and other discounted group rates are available.
