Cd'A home health agency ranks high with HomeCare Elite

The Coeur d’Alene branch of Gentiva Home Health, an affiliate of Kindred at Home, was named one of the nation’s top 100 home care agencies in 2015 by HomeCare Elite, a listing of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States compiled by OCS Homecare, analytics software services offering clinical outcomes improvement, hospitalization insights, and quality assurance benchmarking and reporting.

The annual HomeCare Elite review identifies the top 25 percent of agencies in each region and highlights the top 100 and top 500 agencies in the country. Winners are ranked by an analysis of publicly available performance measures in quality outcomes, best practices implementation, patient experience, quality improvement and consistency, and financial performance. In order to be considered, an agency must be Medicare-certified and have data for at least three outcomes in Home Health Compare.

OCS uses data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Home Health Compare and Cost Reports to create the HomeCare Elite list of agencies. Agency performance in each of the domains was compared against the performance of other organizations in the state and nearly 10,000 nationwide (including U.S. territories), with a weighting methodology that gives the greatest importance to quality of care.

“The 2015 HomeCare Elite winners deserve credit for demonstrating high-quality care in their communities. As quality care initiatives become top-of-mind for health care providers, we recognize this as a remarkable achievement...,”said Christine Lang, vice president of product development for OCS HomeCare.

The Coeur d’Alene branch of Gentiva Home Health, an affiliate of Kindred at Home, 230 Northwood Center Court, Suite C, provides skilled home health services. For more information, visit www.kindredathome.com.
