Bonners Ferry 41

POST FALLS — Jonny Hillman and Caleb Symons combined to score 29 points, helping the Jaguars beat the Badgers in nonleague action at Post Falls Middle School.

Hillman scored 16 points, followed by Symons, who put up 13 for Genesis Prep, which won its eighth straight game.

“It was another good game,” Genesis Prep coach Marsell Colbert said. “I thought we played really good defense, made the adjustments to what we were doing. We were able to get some stops down the stretch and that made a difference in the game.”

Bonners Ferry (8-11) was led in scoring by Caleb Blackmore, who had 13 points.

Genesis Prep (16-4) plays in the semifinals of the 1A Division II District 1 tournament at Timberlake High at 6 p.m. on Tuesday night, against Monday’s winner between Mullan and Clark Fork.
