POLICE: A huge thanks

| February 19, 2016 8:00 PM

I want to offer a big thanks to local law-enforcement. On Monday (2-15-16) I was traveling by car southbound on Government Way with my young children. I was unaware of a high-speed pursuit taking place just moments behind me.

Thank you to the law enforcement officers who had the preparedness to drive ahead and clear us away from the danger of the on-coming pursuit. At the moment I was questioning why these police officers were signaling all vehicles to pull over. It couldn’t have been more than 30 seconds later I was passed by a stolen U-haul truck with at least 10 police cars chasing at a very high rate of speed behind. I felt relived that we were safe and out of harm’s way.

I don’t know if this was police protocol but I have gratitude in my heart for those thoughtful officers who were willing to put their lives on the line to protect mine. I just can’t thank you enough.
