GAS: Highest in Post Falls

On Feb. 9 I filled my wife’s car in Spokane (regular) for $1.79. The gas tax in Washington is higher than Idaho’s gas tax. Later in the day in Post Falls I saw three stations asking $1.89 for regular gas. Then the other morning in Post Falls one station I went by was still asking $1.89 regular. I filled up in Coeur d’Alene for $1.62.

I have been a resident of Post Falls for 45 years. As far back as I can remember gas prices in Post Falls have always been higher than Coeur d’Alene. Probably 90 percent of us once each week drive either to Spokane or Coeur d’Alene. I believe in supporting business in Post Falls, but I won’t support greed.

Send Post Falls gas stations a message. Where you buy and how much you pay matters to your monthly expenses. I say fill up where the stations are fair and truly want your business, even Rathdrum and Spirit Lake are cheaper!
