Floyd Melvin Keyes Jr., 87

In remembrance of my loving father, Floyd Melvin Keyes Jr. (July 28, 1928 — Feb. 4, 2016) who passed away on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016.

He left behind hundreds who knew and loved him including his wife of 66 years, Barbara Ann; his son, Bradley Allen; his daughters, Rhonda Marie and Cynthia Ann; and his grandchildren, Tina Maria Carney, Darren Paul Gallegos, Jesse David Gallegos, Toby Aaron Gallegos and Levi Gabriel Austin Gallegos; and his great-grandchildren, James Paul Carney, Shaun Matthew Carney, Gianna Madison Gallegos, Trey Dominic Gallegos, Maverick Robert Gallegos and Bronx Melvin Gallegos.

He was a very talented, smart and capable person. He could build a car or a house. He loved the earth and it showed in the park-like yard and garden he enjoyed and work hard on. Through all of my life, he not only loved his god, Jehovah, his family, his dogs, his friends and home with all of his heart. He shared all he had in endless expressions of love in a way only he could. He had a, sometimes, grumbly exterior, but all who knew him knew how tender he was inside. I can’t imagine life without him, and have never felt so much pain. I respected him, loved him and was proud to be his daughter. I will live for the day I can hug my daddy again.
