Susan Kay Wilson, 57

Susan Kay Wilson, 57, passed away at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, on Feb. 6, 2016.

Susan was born in Janesville, Wis., on April 3, 1958, to Lyle and Ora Mae Zimmerman. She married Daryl Wilson on April 16, 1977, in Milton, Wis. In 1991, they moved to Coeur d’Alene.

Susan worked in food service for Coeur d’Alene School District for many years. She was also a longtime member of the VFW Auxiliary.

She was the best wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished all of the time she spent with her family. She also enjoyed reading and the outdoors.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Daryl Wilson; three children Derek Wilson (JoAnn), Adam Wilson (Azure) and Kari Wilson; six grandchildren Kansas, Keegan, Kolbie, Kennedy, Kingston and Liam; six siblings Dale Zimmerman (Eileen), Doug Zimmerman (Faye), Betty Zimmerman, Denny Zimmerman, Donnie Zimmerman (Connie) and Donna Spude (Jim); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Ora Mae Zimmerman.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene.
