The annual Idaho High School Activities Association track coaches meeting will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Post Falls High.

NIC men, women host

CSI in hoops today

COEUR d’ALENE — It’s the only game on the schedule this week for North Idaho College men’s and women’s basketball this week, but it’s a big one.

The Cardinals will host the visiting Southern Idaho Golden Eagles today starting with the women’s game at 3 p.m., with the men’s to follow at 5. It’s the final regular season meeting between the schools in Scenic West Athletic Conference play before NIC moves to the Northwest Athletic Conference in all sports starting with the 2016-17 season.

The NIC men (25-0, 10-0 SWAC) are ranked third in this week’s NJCAA poll. Southern Idaho (19-6. 7-3) is on a four-game win streak after losing 84-71 to NIC on Jan. 16 in Twin Falls. NIC beat CSI 103-83 in the first matchup of the season on Dec. 12 in Coeur d’Alene.

NIC’s women (17-6, 5-5) dropped from the rankings this week after being ranked 23rd. CSI (22-3, 7-3) fell to 10th after a 72-62 loss against Salt Lake on Jan. 30.

CSI has beaten NIC by a combined six points this season. CSI beat NIC 87-83 in Coeur d’Alene on Dec. 12 and 72-70 at Twin Falls on Jan. 16.
