Vernon Jerome Carrick, 56

Vernon Jerome Carrick, 56, passed away at his home in Post Falls, Idaho, on Feb. 2, 2016. Vernon was born Feb. 4, 1959, to Vernon Carrick and Leigh Hallman in Stockton, Calif.

Vernon received his education from Salt Lake Community College and served in the United States Navy as a machinist’s mate. He worked as a Millwright in the lumber industry and was one of those guys who made fixing things look easy. Vernon and his wife Raina loved spending time boating, fishing, hunting and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Raina Carrick of Post Falls; sons: Garth Carrick, wife Kayla and four grandchildren of Utah, and Ryan Carrick, Ashley and three grandchildren of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; daughters: Angie Carrick Martin, husband Brandon and three grandchildren, Lindsay Carrick Meenderink, husband Parker and two grandchildren, and Amanda Carrick; sisters Celia Lewis, Vivian Carrick, Carla Raynes, Cindy Taylor, Sue Ann Reed and Karel Phillips. Preceded in death by fathers Vernon Lee Benton Phillips And Raymond Carrick; and mothers Patricia Carrick and Leigh Hallman Stevens.
