| February 5, 2016 8:00 PM

Daniel James Stringer Jr., 70, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away Feb. 1, 2016, at Life Care Center of Coeur d’Alene. Daniel was born Dec. 15, 1945, in Plummer, Idaho, to Daniel Sr. and Ercie (Andrews) Stringer. Daniel struggled with multiple health issues his entire life. He is now at peace.

Daniel grew up in Plummer where he attended and graduated from Plummer High School. He later joined the Job Corp, until 1966 when he moved to California. There he worked for Honeywell Industries, before moving back to North Idaho in 1971.

He loved model trains, tinkering with electronics and listening to music — especially Elvis. Daniel was known affectionately as “Archie” during his years at Life Care.

Daniel is survived by one sister and her husband, Lydia and Wally Schaffer of Post Falls, Idaho; two nieces Alayne (Joe) Hartley of Post Falls and Cynthia Schaffer of Post Falls; nine great-nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

“And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.”

A private family service will be held at a later date. Bell Tower Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements. You may view his online memorial at www.belltowerfuneralhome.com.
