GYMNASTICS

The Technique Gymnastics girls team from Hayden traveled to Spokane for Flip Fest 2016 competition on Jan. 30-31. The following are the results from the meet, listing all gymnasts who placed in the top 3:

LEVEL 2: Sofia Becker 3rd on Floor and 2nd on Beam and All Around; Kirsten Iames 1st on Bars and 3rd All Around; Tatum Easterday 2nd on Floor and tied for 3rd on Vault; Jaylin Koneval 2nd on Bars; Elsa Laker 3rd on Beam.

The Level 2’s also took home the 1st Place Team Award.

Buzzsaw Wrestling Club: The spring season for the Buzzsaw Wrestling Club begins March 1, with practices on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5 to 6:15 p.m. in the Coeur d’Alene High wrestling room.

Cost is $30 to purchase a USA Wrestling card.

Coaches include Jeff Moffat, Coeur d’Alene High wrestling coach; Tony Hook, Coeur d’Alene High assistant coach and Canfield Middle School head wrestling coach; and Kelly Moffat and Pete Trevino, Coeur d’Alene High assistant wrestling coaches.

Youngsters will compete in local and regional tournaments.
