A 61-year-old Butte, Mont., man died on Interstate 90 on snowy Lookout Pass on Monday afternoon after pulling over to perform maintenance on his semi trailer.
According to Idaho State Police, Paul Flasinski had pulled over in a 2008 Kenworth semi that was pulling two trailers at 2:19 p.m. near the Idaho/Montana border.
Ralph Fitzthum, 52, Oroville, Wash., was driving a 2004 Freightliner semi pulling two trailers eastbound when a trailer behind the Freightliner struck a trailer behind the Kenworth, according to ISP.
Flasinski was struck by one of his own trailers. He later died at Shoshone Medical Center.
Fitzthum was not injured.
