George Franklin Trotter, 84

George Franklin Trotter, 84, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away Jan. 27, 2016, at home. George was born Oct. 14, 1931, in Hazny, Mont., to James and Maud (Linebarger) Trotter.

He attended school in Coulie City, Wash., and had been a longtime resident of Eastern Washington and North Idaho. George enjoyed music, dancing, hunting and fishing. He was also a past member of The Eagles in Coeur d’Alene and Spokane.

George is survived by his special companion of 30 years, Donna Loudin, at home; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank Trotter, Jim and Janice Trotter, and Don and Ronda Trotter; and daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Jack Giddens; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Donna’s family includes, Diane and Bruce Smith, Tom and Kathy Loudin, Chet and Debbie Loudin, Jerry Loudin, Mark Loudin, Mike and Jill Loudin, and Pat and Laurie Loudin; and 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include his brother and sister in-law, Tom and Joyce Trotter.

George is preceded in death by his two sisters, Maudetta Trefry and Dora May Carmichael; and two brothers, Earl and Jim Trotter.

The family would like to express their appreciation and give a special thanks to Auburncrest Hospice, M.J. and Maggie, Wellspring, and Jerry and Chet Loudin for their special care.
