Donna Therese Smith-Dotts, 58

Donna Therese Smith-Dotts went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 28, 2016. Donna was born in Chicago, Ill., on Feb. 8, 1957, to Melvin and Rosemarie Stevenson. She was raised in Bellwood, Ill., and graduated from Proviso West High School in 1975. Following graduation she enlisted with the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Ben Harrison in Indianapolis, Ind. Donna served in Panama City in the Canal Zone for two years where she met the love of her life, Joseph Dotts. She returned to the states and was honorably discharged from the military in March 1979. She moved with her family from Illinois to North Idaho in the summer of 1994, where she felt right at home.

To know her was to love her. Donna had a passion for anything that her family was participating in, whether that be basketball, softball, theater or anything in between. She was a loving wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Stevenson; father-in-Law Argonne Joseph Dotts; and her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her mother, Rosemarie Cuchna; her sisters, Melanie Stevenson-Smith Jackson and Lenore Stevenson; her brother, Michael Colletti; her husband, Joseph Dotts; her children, Katie Dotts, Megan Tompkins (Josh), Deanna Dotts, Jessica Olmsted (Kyle) and Alexis Dotts; her grandchildren, Mallorie, Zachary, Bodee, Abigail and Blayklee. As well she is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A viewing will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at Yates Funeral Home in Hayden. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at Real Life Ministries No. 2 at 1 p.m. For those who wish, flowers can be sent to Yates Funeral Home in Hayden.
