COEUR d’ALENE — It's going to be a memorable New Year for 12 North Idaho families and the audience members who attend their show.

Laura Little Theatricals will present "Families That Sing Together Stay Together" at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Kroc Center. The show will include several performances by family teams — brothers and sisters, parents and their kids and a grandpa and granddaughter who will share the stage.

"We have had the opportunity to work with some of them one at a time but not all of them together," said producer and director Laura Little. "It's a shame that some of them have never worked together as a family. This gives them the avenue to do that."

Little said family performances create memories that last forever.

"My dad and daughter, when she was 8, they performed together in San Diego and it was one of the more magical memories that I have," she said. "I want to create that moment for these families."

This familial celebration will include songs and talking points sharing pieces of the special relationships families share. Many of the performers were also "Traditions of Christmas" cast members.

"Some families like to ski together or play games, but our favorite pastime is music," said Heidi Santiago, who will perform in "Families" with her son, Jordan, and daughter, Leilani.

Santiago and her children have been in several shows together and they plan to continue their theatrical family tradition. She said performing together is more than just the performance — it's the jamming, singing in harmony and listening and supporting each other.

"The joy of making music together is like nothing else," she said. "Being able to share that with others is just the icing on the cake."

Tickets can be purchased at www.lauralittletheatricals.com or by calling (208) 391-2867. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children and students.

The Kroc Center is located at 1765 W. Golf Course Road in Coeur d'Alene.
