CROSS COUNTRY
North Idaho XC youth runners performed well at the USATF Jr. Olympic National Cross Country Championship in Hoover, Ala., on Saturday.
There were 21 national qualifiers ages 7-16 years old in attendance from North Idaho, including two teams of 9-10 year old boys and girls.

The 9-10 year old boys’ team took 4th place in the 3k out of 28 teams. North Idaho team time was 1:02:18.66
The 9-10 year old girls’ team took 14th place in the 3k out of 19 teams. Team time for the girls was 1:12:01.01.
Three athletes finished in the top 25 in their age group, earning All American designation: Helen Oyler (7-8 yr girls), Max Cervi-Skinner, and Zack Cervi-Skinner (both 9-10 yr boys). Over 3,500 youth runners representing nearly every state competed in the championship.
WRESTLING
Team Real Life wrestlers competed last weekend at the Central Valley Inland Empire tournament in Veradale. Team Real Life champions were Wren Jackson, Will Jackson and Matthew Hamilton, who placed first in his own weight class as well as the next heavier weight class to bring home two first-place medals. Also competing was Damian Hamilton who placed second.
