AMADOR: Bright star shining

| August 31, 2016 9:00 PM

Everywhere I go in town I hear variations of the same theme: “This has got to be the zaniest election our country has experienced in my lifetime.”

While it’d be hard to find anyone to argue with that, there are some bright spots on the November ballot. Paul Amador is one of them. He’s running for Idaho House seat 4B on the Republican ticket.

I personally endorse Paul for several reasons. He’s very bright and qualified for the job (B.S. in agricultural economics, M.A. in educational leadership and Ph.D. in educational leadership) and he also has a lot of common sense coupled with a “can do” spirit. Paul has identified three topics to be addressed immediately in the upcoming legislative session: education, economy and health care.

Paul’s candidacy provides us with a unique opportunity: Since there is no incumbent in the race we can get a fresh start with a highly qualified candidate whose age and experience equip him and us to focus on a bright Idaho future.
