WOMEN: Show your strength
In response to Paul J. Underwood’s letter about health care, I’m a 38-year-old woman who is a stand tall Republican. In your letter you rant about Republicans and how we all are spoiled little rich people who throw money around like candy in a parade. I’m married and have two boys. I also lost a son at birth. Republicans know hard times.
I was a young mother who never went to college. I graduated high school and had a full-time job two days later, sometimes two. My husband did the same. We WORKED, not to be pompous but to be proud. We do not get any assistance with anything other than what God gave us — two hands, two feet and the power of free will.
We will never qualify for Medicare, we have worked to plan and SAVE for the future and the future of our children.
The only change I think should happen is vets great free health care for life. Thank you to all the men and women who fought for our country. I feel fully indebted to you.
If you want to complain about elderly people taking trips then why are you assuming they are Republicans? Maybe they are now and have been more prepared for life. Not to mention my tax dollars are hard at work to help people get the help they need from the government. You’re welcome.
Lastly, America used to be a dream because we came together, took names and kicked ass. Donald Trump may look and sound moronic sometimes, but I bet he didn’t have anyone write his speeches for him.
As for Hillary Clinton, put aside she broke the law in a way that could get a president impeached, but to all her woman voters: Would you really want a woman to run this country who stood by her cheating husband and smiled while holding his hand while he tells the nation: “I did not — in her mouth?”
Because apes didn’t inherit the Earth, people did. I’m a very strong, independent woman and will never vote for some woman, any woman, who doesn’t have enough self-esteem to stand up there in front of the nation and kick old Bill in the sac.
We are woman, hear us ROAR!
