LEWISTON — Noah Hastings scored the tying goal in the 25th minute on an assist from Warren Durado as the Sandpoint Bulldogs beat the Lewiston Bengals 3-1 at Walker Field.

“Noah scored a nice chip goal over the top of the keeper and just finished it off,” Sandpoint coach Adam Tajan said. “We controlled most of the possession for most of the match, but just had to find the back of the net.”

Dawson Mulder and Cole Baillie scored second half goals for Sandpoint (2-2), which travels to Post Falls on Tuesday.

MOSCOW — Kyler Sorensen scored in the 79th minute on an assist from Justin Kofmehl for the Vikings in a draw with the Bears.

“Justin put in a good ball off a corner kick and Kyler just hammered it home,” Coeur d’Alene coach Jeff Lake said. “Honestly, we’re pretty disappointed in the result. Their goal came on our mistake on a bad turnover. We had six quality chances to score and they had one. We need to do better at finishing our chances. But the good thing is we’re creating chances. It was a good learning experience for our young boys.”

Coeur d’Alene (1-0-1) hosts Lakeland on Wednesday.

First half — none. Second half — 1, Mos, Joe Ewers (unknown), 60:00. 2, Cd’A, Kyler Sorensen (Justin Kofmehl), 79:00.

SANDPOINT — Riley Walkington’s penalty kick in the 68th minute tied the game for the host Bulldogs in the draw with the Bengals at War Memorial Field.

Sandpoint’s Jezza Hutto, who “was a constant threat” all night, according to Bulldog coach Conor Baranski, was fouled in the box by a defender after beating the defense on a run from the right side, setting up a 1v1 with the keeper.

“It was definitely a game we could have won and perhaps should have won,” Baranski said. “We controlled large portions of the game; we didn’t have the composure in front of the goal that we needed to.”

Sandpoint (0-1-2) plays host to Post Falls on Tuesday.
