Skale, Heaton join Empire Eye Cd’A

Empire Eye Physicians announced the addition of two new physicians to the practice’s Coeur d’Alene office: Dr. David Skale M.D. and Dr. Ali Heaton O.D.

Skale is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal, macular, and vitreous degeneration. He received his medical training at Loma Linda Medical School. After completing an ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Loma Linda, he transitioned to serve as the primary retinal surgeon for the County Regional Medical Center in Riverside, Calif. He will also be operating and working in conjunction with Kootenai Health to provide care to the neonatal intensive care unit.

Heaton is an optometrist and graduate of Pacific University School of Optometry. She will be providing medical eye exams focusing on retinal, cataract, diabetic, and glaucoma care.
