Benefit concert Sunday for K27 memorial fundraiser

| August 26, 2016 9:00 PM

Food, games and music will be flowing Sunday at McEuen Park during a concert to benefit the proposed K27 Fallen Officer Memorial.

The K27 Forever Benefit Concert takes place from 4 to 8:30 p.m. and is a family friendly event featuring music by The Power band and other musical talent. A short appreciation program will also be included. Children are free and adult tickets are $10. Proceeds support the memorial fundraising.

The privately fundraised memorial in McEuen Park will honor Sgt. Greg Moore, whose call letters were “K27” and other fallen officers around the nation. Sgt. Moore was shot early in the morning on May 5, 2015, while on patrol. He left behind a wife and two children.

Benefit concert tickets can be purchased via email at panhandleparks@gmail.com or call (208) 446-4813 and Tyler Davis (208) 338-0600, Tyler@liveafter5CDA.com. The event is sponsored by the city of Coeur d’Alene, the Panhandle Parks Foundation and Davis Enterprises.

Those interested in donating to the memorial project can do so online at k27forever.com or mail a check to “Greg Moore Memorial Fund,” c/o Mayor Steve Widmyer, Coeur d’Alene City Hall, 710 E. Mullan Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.
