Northwest Premier tryouts: Northwest Premier BBC has announced tryouts for its 2017 youth teams.

Tryouts are scheduled for Sunday at Premier Sports Center, 5980 E. Commerce Loop in Post Falls.

Ages 10-11 will try out from 4 to 6 p.m., and ages 12-13 will try out from 6 to 8 p.m. 13-year-olds can’t turn 14 before May 1, 2017.

Sunday’s tryout is considered an “open” tryout. Depending on turnout, a second round of “invite only” tryouts may be held in September.

Sunday’s tryout is open to all players in the Northwest ages 10-13 interested in playing spring/summer travel baseball in 2017.

Players are asked to bring baseball gear (no metal spikes) and a water bottle.
