Lip lines present some of the most challenging areas on the face to rejuvenate. Luckily, through the use of combined products and services we can finally wipe those lines away. For starters, the most conservative approach will focus on prevention.

By the time we enter our 30s, some can begin to see the formation of lines around our mouth at rest. Obviously, if you are a smoker or sun worshiper, the detriment to the skin on your face will likely be much further advanced. Using a good quality home skin care regimen including the daily use of sunblock is your first defense.

For those of you that may be further along in the progression of peri-oral lines, you may need Restylane Silk to add volume to the body of the lip, the vermillion border of the lip, or both. Adding volume simply reduces the lines by lessening the folds in your skin when you pucker; leaving you with a more youthful and smooth smile.

Lastly, for those that have progressed to deep lines, a Dermabrasion procedure done by Dr. F. Mark Owsley will yield your best results. This is not micro-dermabrasion. Dermabrasion does result in some downtime that will be discussed at your consultation. In addition, Dr. Owsley requires that you be placed on our custom recommended skin care protocol for three weeks prior to your procedure.
