Taste of Rathdrum winners announced
<p>Luke Dingman won the Pit Master Award for the best overall barbecue at Taste of Rathdrum at Majestic Park last Saturday. He also won a $100 gift certificate from Tim's Special Cut Meats.</p>
RATHDRUM — Luke Dingman earned the Pit Master Award for the best overall barbecue at the fourth annual Taste of Rathdrum at Majestic Park on Saturday.
Dingman also won first place in the Ribs, Chicken and Anything Bacon categories.
Other placers in the barbecue contest included: John Vahey, second in Ribs and Chicken; Jason Moser, third in Ribs; and Andy Simonson, third in Chicken.
In the hot-dog eating contest, Jeremy Harkness won the Men's Division, downing 11 hot dogs in 5 minutes. Alicia Stevens won the Women's Division with seven.
Norm Heitstuman won the Napa People's Choice Car Show Award with his 1931 Model A Touring Sedan.
