Inc. magazine names Direct Radiology a fastest-growing private company
Inc. magazine has ranked Direct Radiology No. 581 on its 35th annual Inc. 5000, a listing of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The company, headquartered in Coeur d’Alene, is the only radiology practice recognized with this honor and also received recognition as the No. 4 honoree in the state of Idaho.
“Earning the 581st spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list is an exceptional honor and a testament to our partnership model. We were built by radiologists, for radiologists, allowing each member of our team to be highly invested stakeholders who are truly devoted to our customers’ success,” said the Direct Radiology founders in a joint statement. “From day one we have never wavered our focus on the fundamentals of patient care, quality and customer service. A large part of our success is a commitment to managing that growth responsibly. We value quality of care over quantity of cases and put patients ahead of profits — every time.”
Founded in August 2011 and open for business in January 2012, Direct Radiology provides teleradiology solutions to radiologists and radiology groups throughout the United States.
Direct Radiology was founded five years ago by three doctors — John Arias, Lawrence Bub and Kyle Henneberry — who met while working with NightHawk Radiology.
Today, Direct Radiology comprises more than 40 radiologists and 35 support staff who work in close partnership with 200-plus facilities across the country.
The 2016 Inc. 5000, unveiled online at Inc.com and with the top 500 companies featured in the September issue of Inc. (available on newsstands Aug. 23) is the most competitive crop in the list’s history.
The average company on the list achieved three-year growth of 433 percent. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $200 billion, and the companies on the list collectively generated 640,000 jobs over the past three years, or about 8 percent of all jobs created in the entire economy during that period.
