Safe Passage elects board members
The Safe Passage board of directors elected six new members recently from a multitude of disciplines to expand the diversity of skills on its board.
The six individuals, each elected to serve a three-year term, are: Eden Irgens, co-founder, client partner, Range Cd’A; Ben Johnston, CPA, PLLC; Barry McHugh, Kootenai County prosecuting attorney; Claudia Miewald, Kootenai Behavioral Health Center director; Rebecca Reeves, account supervisor, Hanna & Associates; and Sheri Weistaner, Lewis-Clark State College, Social Work faculty.
The following officers also were elected in July to serve a one-year term, ending June 2017: Jovanna Tanzey, president; Trina Caudle, vice-president; Ann Thomas, secretary; Barbara Neely, past president; and Eleanor Lyon, member-at-large. Katie Coker is the Safe Passage executive director.
Safe Passage provides survivors of domestic and sexual violence with services that enhance safety, in addition to providing preventive education to middle school and high school students throughout North Idaho.
