GRATITUDE: Four-wheeler heroes

On July 9, I had a misfortunate accident picking huckleberries. I fell about 20 feet and wedged myself between the car and the mountain bank, I ended up breaking both shoulders and my femur. My niece was with me, but we were faced with the dilemma of no cell service and no way out.

Fortunately the local four-wheeler club came by and literally saved me. So I just wanted to thank them. They kept me calm and in good spirits, made the ride to a spot with known cell service, and cleared a landing site for the helicopter.

I probably wouldn’t have survived without your help. you will always have my gratitude.
