Frank James Harrell, 87

Frank James Harrell, Msgt E-8 Ret., 87, passed away on Aug. 14, 2016, in Hospice House Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was born in Llano, Texas, on Aug. 28, 1928.

Frank married Mary Elva Cress on June 2, 1956, in Colville, Wash. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Frank was retired from the Army and had served in Korea, Vietnam and Germany. As he entered civilian life, Frank went to work at the Co-op Supply and drove pilot car for Kelly Riley Pilot Cars.

Frank is survived by his wife Mary and his daughters Gail (Chris Tucker) and Karen (Mark Zurfluh); his grandchildren, Levi Mann of Post Falls, Josh Mann of Chandler Ariz., Alaina Zurfluh of Liberty Lake, Wash., and Kirsten (Daniel Baker) of Spokane Valley, Wash. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother Dora Mae Reed (Harrell), his father Johnnie Harrell, five sisters and brothers and his great-grandson Gage J. Mann.

Frank's interment will be at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at the National VA Cemetery in Medical Lake, Wash. His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d'Alene, with a reception to follow immediately after the service at the Gateway, 1165 W. Ironwood Drive.
