Ronald A. Higgins, 78

Ronald A. Higgins, 78, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at North Idaho Hospice House. He was born Jan. 25, 1938, to Archie and Albert Higgins in Kellogg, Idaho. Ron had a strong work ethic, and continued to work until the time of his death.

His greatest joys in life were his family and spending time on the Coeur d’Alene River with family and friends. It was his special paradise that he loved sharing.

Ron’s sense of humor and contagious laugh will be remembered by many.

Ron had a true love of people. He has maintained many close friendships throughout the years of growing up and living in the Coeur d’Alene area.

Ron’s gift of helping others and his selflessness were one of his greatest personality traits.

Ron is survived by Vicki Adamson; children Ryan and Michele Higgins, Patrick Higgins, Joe and Laura Wilson, Brian and Stefanie Leth, and Brandi Adamson; grandchildren Austin and Alex Higgins, Nathan Reinhardt, J.B. and Cassie Wilson, Jordan, Nyiah, and Kadin Adamson; sister Lorene Masters of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by both of his parents; his sisters, Delores Peterson, Lois Bangham and Joyce Branum; and grandson Ryan Reinhardt.

A celebration of life will be held from 2-5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at the Hayden Lake Eagles, 1520 W. Wyoming Ave., Hayden.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to North Idaho Hospice.
