John Wayne Carothers, 82

John Wayne Carothers passed away Aug. 5, 2016, at home in Post Falls, Idaho. He was born near Adamsville, Texas, on March 6, 1934.

John married Mary Frances Hamner on April 9, 1955, in Ardmore, Okla. He was a 1955 graduate of Baylor University. Before retiring John owned and operated a Marine and Motorcycle dealership in Salinas, Calif. He truly enjoyed hunting and fishing.

John is survived by his wife, Fran; sons, Matt of Coalinga, Calif., Stan of Salinas, Mike of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; brother Jack of Post Falls; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Ann Taylor in 2007.
