Lavonne M. Jorgensen, 83

Lavonne Marie Jorgensen, 83, of Guardian Angel Homes in Post Falls, Idaho, died on Aug. 6, 2016. She was born on March 3, 1933, in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Ward Milton Hunter and Gertrude Rose (Boltz) Hunter.

Lavonne grew up and attended school in Page, N.D. She was happily married to Ivan Jorgensen. They were married in Page in March 1952. She worked as a dental assistant and in the restaurant industry. She lived in North Dakota most of her life. When her husband died in 1980, Lavonne moved to Bellingham, Wash. The last 14 years of her life she lived in Post Falls.

She was a very special mom who will be missed every day. She enjoyed puzzles and crafting. She was always making something for her kids. Everyone who knew her enjoyed her contagious laugh and keen sense of humor.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ivan, her parents, two brothers, Norman and Jack Hunter, her sister Catherine Pearson, and her beloved Shih-tzu, Sparky.

She is survived by her four daughters, Peggy Stark of University Place, Wash., Nancy and son-in-law Bob Reish of Post Falls, Carlo and son-in-law Kevin Ramage of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Cindy and son-in-law Tom Gibson of Three Forks, Mont. She had seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Ray and Jerry Hunter; sister Janice and brother-in-law Ronald Cook; and several nieces and nephews.

We will miss you Mom, but we are so glad you are now with Dad.
