BOUNDARIES: More than meets the eye
Boundaries. The word often carries with it a negative connotation of an obstacle preventing us from fully enjoying that which we desire or long for.
Boundaries are placed to protect us. As we grow and foster understanding from life experiences we instill in our own lives boundaries that we abide by.
Good parents have boundaries that their children obey not out of fear of crossing them and the reprised repercussions there after but out of basic understanding that they are there to benefit them.
Boundaries set by parents for instance are done not out of spite to keep their children in restriction but rather to let them freely enjoy life safely and with responsibility.
As a child matures into adulthood they must set boundaries for themselves as to protect their ability to maintain a job by having a schedule and sticking with it. They have boundaries that they require others abide by as to protect their heart.
We have boundaries as we grow as to benefit us not restrict us.
Boundaries are important. Know them and the ones you have for yourself. Make sure you abide by them and continue to instill within you discipline to maintain them for from it you will yield great results in many aspects of your life.
