for Cd’A Shootout

It’s not too late to get in on the biggest three-on-three annual basketball tournament in Coeur d’Alene. Registration is still open for the Coeur d’Alene Shootout, which will be held Aug. 27 and 28 on North Idaho College’s main campus. Register by Aug. 18.

The Coeur d’Alene Shootout is a double-elimination tournament with standard half-court games played to 20 points or 25 minutes.

Players can select the division they want to play in. Players in grades 3-12 should select the appropriate category and teams will be placed in boys’ and girls’ divisions. For grades 3-12, teams will be placed in the bracket of the oldest player on the team. For the men’s division, the team will be placed in the bracket of the youngest player.

The entry fee is $120 per team and includes a T-shirt. Start time is 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and the number of teams will be limited. Registration forms are available at The Sports Cellar located at 402 Sherman Ave. or download one at www.nicathletics.com. Once determined, brackets will be posted to the NIC athletics website as well.
