Dennis (Denny) Allan Lechich, 65, of Hayden, Idaho, has passed away from ALS on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at his home. Denny was born on March 26, 1951, in Stockton, Calif., to Tony and Barbara Lechich and is survived by his brother, Jerry and sister Wendy Taggart.

He attended Lincoln High School and graduated in 1969. He enjoyed bow hunting, fly fishing, handball, cards, weightlifting, golf, and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He started working at Valley Showcase Cabinet shop as a teenager and then the U.S. Postal Service in 1974, retiring in 2000. He met the only love of his life, Gloria De Herrera from Lodi, Calif., in 1974 and they were married in 1975.

He and his wife were baptized as Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1979. Denny was a dedicated servant of Jehovah throughout his life. He loved sharing in the ministry, conducting Bible studies and sharing with others the good news of God’s Kingdom (Matthew 24:14).

Denny and his wife Gloria have three wonderful sons, Denny John (wife Erica), Tom (wife Holis) and Casey (wife Layla); and grandchildren Ethan, Sofia, Logan and Sawyer. After a vacation to Idaho, Dennis, Gloria and their son, Casey, decided to make the visit permanent and moved to Hayden, Idaho, in 2005.

There will be a memorial ceremony in behalf of Denny at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 8500 N. Ramsey Road, Hayden. Dennis hoped that his family and old friends will be able to attend his memorial.
